It's been a while!
Today's blog post will be about my favourite brush sets from cheap and cheerful to expensive but luxurious.
I will be focusing on brush sets that have a mix of brushes for the face and eyes.
1) Zoeva Brushes (79,00 euro)
Rose Gold luxury set (Vol 2)
Zoova is a well known brand that has hit the beauty world with a bang in the past year or so, the brushes have been used by top makeup artists all over the world. They were set up by Zoe Boikou and they are a German brand.
These Brushes can be bought from Matt O'Flaherty stores Galway or beauty bay online.
I chose this brush set because my favourite colour is pink and the quality of these are fantastic.
This set comes with eight Brushes and a lovely clutch style makeup bag to hold your brushes or essential makeup products.
Three of these brushes are face brushes and the other five are Eye brushes.
Face brushes - ( from left to right )
104 Buffer brush - ( Perfect for applying foundation getting that smooth even finish.)
109 Luxe Face paint brush - ( Perfect for contouring can be used with cream or powder.)
126 Luxe Cheek Finish - ( Perfect for applying powder all over the face or a flush of blush on the cheeks.)
Eye Brushes -
226 Smudger - ( Perfect for smudging eyeliner or creating a smokey eye look.)
228 Luxe Crease- ( perfect for blending out shadows in the crease area.)
234 Luxe Smokey Shader - ( Blends colour and gives a smooth finish.)
322 Brow Line Brush - (Perfect for getting a sharp brow.)
The brushes are made with synthetic taklon hair! (Vegan free) Thats cruelty free for you animal lovers.
This set is perfect for anyone who loves makeup or even someone who is just learning, quality brushes are key in applying makeup.
* Overall, I would give these brushes 10/10 - They are excellent quality, beautifully made the hairs are soft, they apply the makeup perfectly, they are compact and can be carried around everywhere,there are a good range of brushes for face and eye look. I gave these brushes 10 because there is no fault with them, they are quiet expensive for 8 brushes, but with brushes you need to invest as they will last you long enough if taken care of properly.*
2) Black Canvas Cosmetics Brushes (79,00 euro)
My face and eye professional Set 12 Piece Brush set.
Black Canvas Cosmetics is another well known brand of brushes and cosmetics.
This set can be bought on black canvas cosmetics online store for 79 euro although I have noticed they can be dearer in some pharmacy's!
This is a twelve piece face and brush set with a brush holder.
Face - ( from left to right )
Double ended foundation brush - (perfect for applying concealer or foundation)
Stippling brush-(perfect for getting a flawless foundation)
Contour brush-(great for cream contour)
Powder brush-(perfect for applying powder or blush)
Eyes-
**Just on a final note, whilst i'm on about washing brushes just to add its so so important to clean your brushes! For anyone who doesn't wash them regularly you should! Just think about it .. you use a foundation brush on your skin over and over again and then you don't wash it, its left in a brush holder etc everyday its left sitting there bacteria is building up. When you use it on your skin your then putting this bacteria and germs onto your skin!!! So disgusting. Treat your makeup brushes like you treat your hair ladies .. with care and TLC and you will have them brushes for along time if you take care of them also.**

E28 Ultra Fine Liner - ( can be used for eyeliner - perfect for getting a lovely thin line. )
E30 Brow/Spoolie - (Great multi purpose brush can be used for brow grooming/mascara/browgel.)
L29 Lip Brush - ( Perfect for applying lipstick. )
These brushes are made from a mix of Goat hair and synthetic fibres. This set is perfect for a professional makeup artist as a starter to add to there kit or a makeup addict.
* Overall, I would give these brushes 9.5/10, The reason I didn't give them 10 is because i'm comparing them to the last set and I would prefer the quality of the Zoeva ones, just because I prefer the colour and I think they blend products so beautifully. However, everyones preference on brushes is different and I just find zoeva suit me best. These brushes still do a brilliant job and there is 12 brushes, they are easy to wash, come with a brush holder and there is a wide selection of brushes. *
3) Real Techniques Brushes - (29,99) ( 29,99)

Real Techniques brushes are so popular, almost everyone has at least one of these brushes in their makeup bag. They are sold online and in most pharmacy's in Galway.
In Boots at the moment there is a deal on buy one set and get the second half price, so you would get these two sets for a total of 44.61 euro.
This is a total of nine brushes suitable for face and eyes.
1. Core brush Set - Face (left to right)
Contour Brush- ( Perfect for contouring or blush.)
Pointed Foundation Brush - ( Perfect for applying liquid foundation and for building up a full coverage. )
Detailing Brush - ( Perfect for applying concealer to them problem areas. )
Buffing Brush - ( For applying powder.)
2. Starter Brush Set - Eyes.
Crease Brush - ( Perfect for blending shadow in the crease. )
Base Brush - ( Perfect for creating a smooth base.)
Small Detailing Brush- ( For getting into those small areas, or smudging out eyeliner.)
Liner Brush- (Perfect for creating a thin sharp eyeliner.)
Brow Brush - (Perfect for getting a sharp clean brow.)
These brushes are synthetic and cruelty free. This set is perfect for anyone really, especially someone beginning to use makeup as they are pretty easy to use, they come with a guide aswell.
* Overall I would give these brushes 9/10, They are good quality and last a long enough time. They are very affordable and easy to use. However, I find that the handles on the brushes are quiet thick or something and I find there not as comfortable to hold as others. But they are cruelty free and very affordable if your looking for some good quality brushes.*
4) Penney's Brushes
P.s. Holographic brush set.
Penney's are really on trend and up to date with beauty products these days, almost every week beauty bloggers and makeup addicts are fascinated by a new release.
I recently came across these brushes from Penney's and just fell in love with the colour! Normally id be very picky about my brushes but you really can't go wrong with spending 8 euro on these brushes. If you don't like them at least you've something pretty to look at.
This set contains five brushes and looks pretty similar to real techniques brushes.
Face Brushes - (left to right)
Powder Brush - ( perfect for applying powder.)
Contour Brush - ( Perfect for applying bronzer.)
Stippling Brush - ( Perfect for applying foundation. )
Blush Brush - ( Perfect for applying blush.)
Detail Brush- ( For concealing problem areas.)
These brushes are synthetic hair and very affordable. Perfect for anyone really but not a long term brush, if you want brushes to last for ages you'd want to invest a bit of money.
*Overall, I would give these 7/10, these brushes are so so pretty and so affordable but unfortunately not amazing quality. However, for the price they are worth getting! They blend products well, are easy to use, look really nice, they are hard to wash and the hairs fall out after washing a few times which is a nightmare for me because i'm crazy when it comes to clean brushes I always have to wash them. *
**Just on a final note, whilst i'm on about washing brushes just to add its so so important to clean your brushes! For anyone who doesn't wash them regularly you should!
