Hey guys,
so I put together some of my favourite makeup/beauty products for this fall and winter!
It's all about the lips!
Summer is over and our lips will need some TLC expecially before applying a lipstick! If you've anyway dry or chapped lips you'll need to do some prep before applying your lipstick!
So one tip if you have flakey dry lips try massaging them with your toothbrush and after that just keep moisturising them with a balm! But unfortunately that doesn't work for us all!
Lucky for us clinique have an amazing lip product for restoring moisture in lips that is a definite must have! It's a bit pricey at 16,99 from boots stores as it's quiet small but it really does work wonders!
(1) A good red lippy!
Heading towards the winter months there's nothing more flattering than a gorgeous red lipstick! Whether it's for a day time look hitting the town with a polo neck top or if your going partying and want that sheek red lip look!
(2) A dark nude lippy!
Dark nude lipsticks are all the rage this season! The great thing about these is they suit pretty much everyone! If you want to add something different to your makeup but just don't want tha that full on red lip, then I'd definitely recommend a dark nude!
This is one of my favourites from Urban decay it's called "1993 (debenhams 18,50) from the vice range!
(3) It's all about the prep!
Preperation is KEY when applying makeup! Make sure you've a completely clean face! So cleanse tone moisturise! But coming into those winter months in Ireland it can get pretty cold! And the cold weather can affect your skin! So a good moisturiser is needed, whether you have normal skin/oily skin whatever you should always keep your skin moisturised and hydrated!
This moisturiser is great if your on a budget at (1,99 in Boots and it's on offer at the moment at three for 4,50 on boots essential range) and it's suitable for all skin types!
The second thing in preperation of the skin before makeup is a good primer! I'm currently loving Inglots range of colour correcting primers! These are Great because as well as being a primer they work for covering up red skin or dull skin!
(4) All about the eyes!
The eyes! My favourite part, eyeshadow completely finishes a look and for this fall/winter it's all about "soft and smokey" It may be about soft and smokey but there's nothing like a killer eye look with winged liner and pigments but anyway whichever you like there's a product for both!
Here are some of my favourite palettes -
This pallette has a beautiful mix between matt and shimmery colours suitable for a very suttee smokey eye or else a dramatic one! It would be fab with maybe the second/sixth/seventh colour in the centre of the eye to really expand your eyes and make them look big!
- Morphe 35F pallette ( 24 euro on morphe cosmetics website)
I literally can't even put into words how much I love this pallette!! Just look at it! 35 shadows for 24 euro a mix between matt and shimmer colours from light to dark suitable for any look!
- Revolution "Redemption" (9 euro)
This pallete is fabulous, it contains 12 eyeshadow a mix of pinks and burgundy! There is some matt colours and some shimmer! Perfect for a night out! These are so pigmented for the price. I have to say revolution products are fantasia for there price.
So that's my favourite palettes for this fall/winter!
Now if you really want to add a statement piece to your makeup why not add some of ingot pure pigment shadows for (15 euro in inglot stores) or there new Inglot spangles for (13 euro) there perfect for a festival look or a Christmas look for a really dramatic different look!
