Summer in Ireland is very difficult to determine, we wake up in the morning and see the sun shining and an hour later there could be thunder and lighting!
Whatever the weather why not have your makeup on fleek! I will share some of my favourite skin essentials for a flawless face!
Before applying foundation etc it is so important that your face is prepped your face needs to be a blank canvas for yourself the artist to paint 😊
Step One - Cleanse:
Effaclar facial wash (15.00 Cara Pharmacy)
You can use anything to cleanse the skin once it's clean, my personal favourite is this effaclar facial wash. This is suitable for anyone with oily acne prone skin! It's perfect for cleaning the skin aswell as getting rid of excess oil!
I love it because I find it helps control oiliness throughout the day!
Step Two - Tone
Garnier is such a good cheap and cheerful brand, they recently brought out a new range where all the ingredients are 97% natural so it won't be harsh on the skin!
I love this toner as it smells nice and doesn't irritate my skin! It's very important to tone the skin after cleansing to tighten/close the pores whilst helping to make your skin tone even.
This particular one would suit combination to oily skin but they have a huge range suitable for all skin types!
Step Three - Moisturise/Prime
Step three is probably the most important step moisturise your skin!! This is going to create a smooth even surface for your foundation to rest on
La Roche Pósay Hydreane legere (15.00)
This moisturiser Is truly amazing! Its suitable for sensitive skin and pretty much all skin types aswell as oily (yes us oily gals need to moisturise too!)
Apply a thin layer of this all over the skin! It hydrates the skin so so much! I love being able to feel like my skin is actually being nourished and this product does that!
Prime -
Once your moisturiser has settled in then it's time to prime the skin!
But I think I have found my perfect combo and I think you should defo try it!
Step Five - set the skin :
Worried it'll be a super sunny day and your face will melt off or your caught in a thunder storm and your face will run off? The best advice I can give is setting your foundation it is absolute KEY.
Boy was I glad I had this on my skin whilst roaming around the streets of Paris and getting metros through all the humidity and heat there was it kept My makeup in place all day like from 10am - 11pm and that is through heat of 34 degrees.
I will definitely be repudchasing this setting spray I think its my new favourite product, it was literally a life saver abroad!
If you follow them steps you should have a flawless face that will last all day through whatever the weather has to offer

Benefit Porefessional Primer (full size 34.00 mini 14.00)
I'm obsessed with this primer! So the idea behind it is to minimise the apparence of pores and oh my it does that! This can be worn without makeup even if you want to make your pores less visible and have a flawless complexion!
Apply this to the centre of the face with your fingers in dabbing motions and work your way out! Keeps the makeup on all day and you can say goodbye to big annoying pores!
Step Four - Base:
Foundation time ladies! Picking the right foundation is tough it takes a lot of trial and error.
But I think I have found my perfect combo and I think you should defo try it!
Vichy dermablend foundation (21.00)
I wear shade 'nude 25 ' I am obsessed with this foundation like words and describe! It's good for sensitive skin/oily skin/normal skin/dry literally it suits all skin types and the coverage is full without looking or feeling cakey.
I apply this with a flat foundation brush, I recently started using a tiny layer of this for coverage and another foundation on top (keep reading)
Once my thin layer of dermablend is applied I go over if with some urban decay naked skin using a stippling brush.
Urban decay naked skin (34.00)
This foundation is a more on the expensive side but if you can afford it I would definitely purchase I got mine in the airport for 29 duty free!
This foundation is so beautiful I used if it on holidays last year and this year and it'd so lightweight! The coverage is very very light but that's why I use my thin layer of derma underneath and walla you got that perfect flawless complexion!

NYX HD studio finishing powder
Dab a little on your powder brush, tap of excess and press this baby into your skin! Your makeup will not budge.
Setting spray -
I was always very sceptical of setting sprays, however I was in the airport and I seen the travel size bottle of urban decay all nighter setting spray and for 12 euro I had to try it!
I will definitely be repudchasing this setting spray I think its my new favourite product, it was literally a life saver abroad!
